Cathedral
Recently I had to move to this place and started to discover the surroundings. I found many marvelous sites in the walking distance, each one a specific atmosphere. But it took few months to discover this jewel which is one of the closest.
I call this woodland the cathedral : you follow an immense nave surrounded by rifts joining in a transept which summit distills a light filtered by hundred-year-old beeches.
Just after these images, I crossed there the path of a lone deer. I was not able to make a decent image ... (wildlife photography is another skill).
I hope these first shots are just the beginning of a work-in-progress while I'll discover the spirit of this mystical forest... and may be meet the king again.
